An exciting new student  initiative will kick off 2018 here at STIS. Postgraduate students from the Management of Bioeconomy, Innovation and Governance (MBIG) and Science and Technology in Society (SaTiS) courses are organising a Postgraduate debate series.

The debates will be held every other week on Tuesday afternoons starting on the 16th of January. All debates will be held in Chrystal McMillan Building (CMB) Seminar Room 4 from 4-6pm.

Debate topics are as follows:

Week 1 - 16th of January

Debate 1: Should genetic editing be allowed to remove diseases?

Debate 2: Are governments over-exaggerating the threat of terrorism to extend the limits of their own power?
