An exciting new student  initiative will kick off 2018 here at STIS. Postgraduate students from the Management of Bioeconomy, Innovation and Governance (MBIG) and Science and Technology in Society (SaTiS) courses are organising a Postgraduate debate series.

The debates will be held every other week on Tuesday afternoons starting on the 16th of January. All debates will be held in Chrystal McMillan Building (CMB) Seminar Room 4 from 4-6pm.

Week 7 – 13th of March

Debate 1: Is the Philippine drug war considered a violation of human rights?

Debate 2: Is nuclear fusion a better alternative to sustainability than wind, solar, and hydroelectricity?

Debate 3: Should governments control their population growth?
