New MSc course in ICT for Development

The 'inaugural class' of the new ICT for Development course will take place Thursday the 22nd of September from 1400 to 1550 in Seminar Room 1, Chrystal McMillian Building.

The course combines guest lectures from academics and practitioners based on actual ICT4D projects with critical analyses drawing on participatory design and science & technology studies. Students will be encouraged to work in groups on empirical cases and give presentations to critically discuss them in the light of issues such as how technology can incorporate social inequalities and the relationship between local and IT expert knowledge.
