The Council for Science and Technology advises the Prime Minister on strategic science and technology policy issues that cut across the responsibilities of individual government departments.
Professor Joyce Tait, Director of the Innogen Institute, is one of five newly named appointments to the Prime Minister's Council for Science and Technology. Sir Mark Walport, Government Chief Scientific Adviser and current Chair of the Council said: “The 5 new members of the Council […] bring with them a breadth of experience and expertise which will enable the Council to continue to provide excellent advice to government on science and technology opportunities and challenges.”
This appointment relates particularly to Joyce’s work, along with Innogen colleagues, on innovation/governance interactions in life sciences.
