Summer school research leads to New Statesman article for STIS PhD student Tim Squirrel
STIS PhD student Tim Squirrel has used research generated through a recent Digital Methods Summer School at the University of Amsterdam to publish a piece with the New Statesman on alt-right language.
Squirrel developed novel digital methods to study reddit, the site of his PhD research, and applied these to investigate how words become part of in-group language across the site.
