Vacancy: Chair of Innovation in the Life Sciences (Global Food Security)

The University seeks to appoint a world-leading scholar to the Chair of Innovation in the Life Sciences (Global Food Security). The Chair will be located in the Subject of Science, Technology and Innovation Studies, in the School of Social and Political Science. We welcome applications from candidates including those with specialism in agricultural innovation systems, international development, and life sciences innovation.

The successful candidate will have a research record with internationally leading publications and have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching. With a profile at the cutting edge of their discipline, they will further the School’s international reputation for research and its commitment to excellence in teaching, and administration.

The Chair will provide leadership in areas including the School’s collaborative participation in the University’s new Global Academy Agriculture and Food Security, based in the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, and extending across the University’s three Colleges.

This full time, 35 hours, open ended position is available from 1 January 2018.

Salary Scale: Professorial Scale
