The University of Edinburgh is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow to undertake qualitative social science research as part of an NHS-funded evaluation of NHS England's flagship Global Digital Exemplar (GDE) Programme.
Responsibilities will include recruiting participants, data collection, data analysis and dissemination of findings. The successful applicant will have a PhD in a relevant social science discipline or equivalent research experience of working in health services research. The Research Fellow will join a dynamic academic team at the University of Edinburgh, Usher Institute for Population Health Sciences and Informatics and the Institute for the Study of Science, Technology and Innovation. This appointment will work closely with our partners in University College London. Much of the fieldwork will be in England and will require regular travel including overnight stays; the post holder could therefore live anywhere in the UK provided they can travel to Edinburgh, London and the study sites as needed. This full-time fixed term post is available for 35 hours per week from December 2018 until 28 February 2021. Salary from £33,199 to £39,609. Consideration may be given to this post being part-time.
