Jarmo De Vries

I have undergraduate degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Philosophy from the University of Amsterdam and have a taught and research master degree in Science and Technology Studies from the University of Edinburgh. Currently, I am doing my PhD in Science and Technology Studies studying the implementatation of the NHS Genomic Medicine Service. I am research looks at how organisational practices, standardisation, and infrastructure make the routine interpretation of genomic data in the clinic possible. My wider interests cover the fields of Science, Technology and Innovation Studies, Medical Sociology, and Critical Data Studies, and include topics as the use of data, data infrastructures, expertise, participation, and knowledge production in biomedicine.
